Our service provides a secure and scalable AI agent for building your infrastructure in AWS. Simply choose a workspace, explain what you want to do, and we'll take care of the rest.

Workspaces

• It is a good idea to keep related infrastructure together in the same workspace since linked or referenced infrastructure might get disconnected if it is changed independently.

• It is also a good idea to keep unrelated infrastructure separated in different workspaces so that you can limit your risks when executing to your intended group.

• Whenever you have an independent set of infrastructure to build, create a new workspace for it and select the workspace when you generate the infrastructure.

• Each time you run a build in the same workspace, Terrachat includes the history of any code run in that workspace so that you can keep track of your infrastructure.

LLM

You can choose which model to use to generate the terraform you need.

We have predominantly tested with the "instant" model, so you might find that to be the best choice.

Region

Selecting the region will ensure that the infrastructure you create lands in that region.

Generating and Applying

When you click generate on your first build, we create terraform to meet your needs and run it through a number of processes to provide feedback.

It is possible that the terraform is not quite perfect on the first try. However, instead of changing your prompt, just click on "Add Context and Regenerate" and we will automatically add all the appropriate context so that our next attempt will improve.

You should not need to manually update any code, since the system learns automatically.

Please read the context provided with each build. It is an incredibly concise resource with detailed explanations of security considerations and expected results.

Once you have a working plan and the model recommends that you should proceed, click on Apply and we will build your infrastructure in your account.

Connecting to AWS

How This Works:

Instead of storing your permanent AWS credentials, this application will use IAM Role Assumption to get temporary credentials.

You need to create an IAM Role in your AWS account that our application can assume. This provides better security as:

• Credentials are temporary and expire automatically
• Access is limited to specific permissions you define on the role
• No permanent credentials are stored anywhere
• For each build we generate our best efforts of a least privilege policy that the role will need in order to execute successfully.
• It's a good idea to create a separate role for managing this policy and given appropriate permissions Terrachat can manage this policy for you.

Third-Party Software: HashiCorp Terraform

Our product integrates with HashiCorp Terraform version 1.5.5 to manage infrastructure. Terraform is a widely recognized tool for infrastructure as code, enabling us to define and provide data center infrastructure using a declarative configuration language. We have specifically chosen version 1.5.5 to ensure compatibility with our product and to maintain operational stability.

HashiCorp Terraform version 1.5.5 is licensed under the Mozilla Public License (MPL) 2.0. This license governs the use, reproduction, and distribution of Terraform. A copy of the MPL 2.0 license is available in the Terraform GitHub repository for your reference. Installation

To use our product, users are required to install Terraform version 1.5.5 separately. Our software interfaces with the Terraform command-line interface (CLI) to execute infrastructure management tasks. We do not distribute Terraform as part of our product; instead, users must obtain and install it independently.
